Rules For Submitting:

Please follow these guidelines for submitting your abstract...

  • Abstracts can only be submitted electronically via this Web site
  • The deadline for submitting abstracts is March 1, 2018
  • Abstracts will be treated as-is; no editing of the text will be provided.
  • The accuracy of abstracts is the responsibility of the author(s)
  • You will be notified by e-mail whether your abstract has been accepted
  • Fields marked with an '*' in the forms are required
  • Your abstract will not be considered if it does not comply with the requirements explained here
  • Questions regarding the abstract submission process, including the withdrawal of submitted abstracts, should be submitted via e-mail to Christopher Tudge at ctudge@american.edu.
  • NOTE: Abstract submission does not constitute meeting registration. Online registration will be available soon and an email will be sent to the membership when it is ready.
  • Theme sessions of up to six people may be organized (if requested in advance). Email Christopher Tudge at ctudge@american.edu with topic and list of participants.

Formatting your abstract:

All abstracts should include...
  • A statement of objectives
  • A brief description of methods used
  • A concise presentation of results
  • A summary of conclusions/inferences drawn

The following conventions must be adhered to:

  • Capitalize all authors' names, state abbreviation, country
  • Do not indent any part of the abstract itself
  • The abstract must be a single paragraph of no more than 250 words.

Student Paper Competition

Entrants submit an abstract online using this form, checking the box for the competition. Entrants must be the senior author for their presentation.
